Make the next piece count.
Practice placements. A run ends on top-out or after ten minutes.
Focus the board for keys. ← → move · ↑ / X rotate · Z / Ctrl reverse · A flip · C / Shift hold · ↓ soft drop · Space hard drop · Esc pause.
On a touch screen, use the buttons below the board. The full competitive game is designed for a desktop keyboard.
This session stays in this tab. It awards no XP, rank, leaderboard record or Shop Credits. Leaving or refreshing resets it.
Choose a useful goal
In Training, concentrate on a low stack and reachable gaps. In 40 Lines, finish the target before worrying about speed. In Blitz, keep clearing throughout the two-minute run. A cleaner board usually gives you more choices than a quick placement you cannot recover from.
Learn a technique, then bring it here
The learning room has prepared positions for clean stacking, Hold and incoming attacks. Try a lesson, then use a fresh practice board to make the decision yourself. You can pause this practice, and it pauses automatically when you leave the tab.

A free account adds personal records, account XP, multiplayer and Friend Rooms. Practice here is deliberately separate: it does not create an account or submit a result.
